NEW ENGLAND JET RALLY TOP GUN AWARD WINNER
Each year the Wachusett Barnstormers get a chance
to express gratitude to a jet pilot who deserves a
special thanks for his contribution to the annual New
England Jet Rally. To show our respect we present
the deserving individual with the New England Jet
Rally Top Gun Award. Each year we change around
the criteria to keep it exciting and unexpected.
This year, our President, Shawn Marcoux; our Vice
President, Dave Killmer; and our Webmaster, Steven
Bailey; got together to make the tough decision. The
one person that particularly came to mind this year
was Michael “Trooky” Turocy of Clinton, MA. For
many years now, he has been doing a lot to help
make sure the annual New England Jet Rally is
something to remember. He is also one amazing
RC Jet Pilot that flies with tremendous skill.

at other RC shows. By helping Jeff Lynds, and by
helping set up and take down the ramps between the
taxiways and airstrip before and after the event. We
also noticed that he likes to take one of his jets, put it
on a table for spectators to walk up to, and willfully
spend time answering curious spectator's questions.
He also eagerly helps out other pilots with their jets.
He is a true ambassador of the hobby.
When we talked about how much he has actually done
in the past years, and how friendly he is to the
spectators, it became apparent that he was deserving
of this award. So, we take our hats off to you Michael
“Trooky” Turocy of Clinton, you are the 2011 New
